Yergin is one of the gurus on oil and his latest book (‘The Quest: Energy, Security and the Remaking of the Modern World’) addresses the three major questions:

Are we running out of oil?
Is oil security a reality for countries and governments?
Is the impact of human impact on climate change relevant?

You don’t have to agree with his conclusions in this book, because it is also a ‘library’ of information (great to search if you buy a digital version).
