We Australians rate each other’s morals and ethics relatively well, compared to a variety of countries.

Poor USA folks have the dimmest view of each other, compared to 24 other countries surveyed by The Pew Research Centre.

Interestingly, in light of my previous post on Mark Carney and Anthony Albanese, a higher proportion of Canadians than Australians rate as ‘very good’ their fellow citizens’ morals and ethics.

I wonder if a leader who communicates a strong principle-led policy influences peoples’ attitudes about each other? Carney’s campaign on middle-powers collaborating more may or may not be right, history will judge, but few doubt it is based on his belief in ‘what is right’.
